Mobility India (Eng.)

"A New Passage to India"

Program terminated (funding period October 2010 to July 2016)

The idea of the mobility program within the DAAD-initiative „A New Passage to India“ (funded by BMBF) was to enhance contacts between students and doctoral researchers at particular German universities and at their respective Indian partner institutions.

The University of Würzburg was awarded resources to build competence by sending German students and doctoral researchers from all areas of studies and research to our partner institutions in India. 72 study and research stays in India of 2-6 months were thus made possible. We could also support 28 Indian doctoral researchers from our partner institutions to perform research at the University of Würzburg.

In this way, the program not only contributed significantly to 39 doctoral, 24 master, and 5 bachelor theses but also induced new and fortified ongoing research cooperations between the research groups involved, resulting in many joint research publications.
