"Making the Leap and Completing the Dissertation"
- For doctoral candidates in the final phase, in German -
This workshop is very important from about halfway through your doctorate (from the 4th semester), but especially for the LONG phase of "writing up" at the end of the doctoral project.
OBJECTIVE:
Completing a doctorate is a great challenge because new questions always arise in a research process, new research literature is constantly being published and you can always improve your own text. It is therefore important to consciously start the final phase of the dissertation in good time. In this phase, you have to make many decisions while writing, finally declare your text finished and hand it over. In this workshop, you will be able to deal with the typical questions that arise from this and discuss them in the group.
The focus will be on the following topics, each of which you can apply directly to your own dissertation:
- Reflect on criteria, requirements and assignments for the finished text,
- Obtain and give feedback,
- (finalising) revising your own text and keeping an eye on time.
WORKING METHOD:
- Alternation of short inputs, practical realisation in individual work and exchange on the respective topics.
- Prerequisite for participation is that you have already written drafts of parts of your dissertation and that the "end is in sight" for you.
