Teaching Qualification through CTL

Current CTL Seminar Programme for Qualification in University Teaching.

The university teaching courses offered at the CTL (Centre for Teaching and learning) are aimed at young academics at the University who are verifiably working as university lecturers or teaching assistants at present. Our agreement stipulates that doctoral candidates at the GSH – provided they do not currently have any teaching responsibilities – will be given places if the courses are not otherwise fully booked. This offer is free of charge for JMU members.

Please note: These seminars serve to qualify doctoral candidates in accordance with the Study Regulations  of the Graduate School; if you are interested in a seminar, please register exclusively as follows:

  •  Send us an email stating which seminar you would like to attend.
  •  After receiving our confirmation, please register with the  using the CLT's registration form, indicating that you
     a) currently have teaching duties (this will be asked in the above-mentioned registration form anyway), and
     b) are pursuing a doctorate at the GSH.

If possible, please enter the address of the chair where you are pursuing your doctorate on the registration form so that our colleague can send the seminar confirmation directly to you. Please be sure to send us your evaluation of the seminar immediately after attending a seminar at the CTL.

You can also find GSH events in our semester calendar on our  ‘Latest News’ page.
