    Research: CAR T cells are genetically engineered T cells that are able to specifically identify and eliminate tumor cells. While being highly efficient in the treatment of hematologic malignancies, these cells can ‘overact` and cause possibly life-threatening side effects. As control mechanisms are lacking, we searched for and identified a Tyrosine kinase inhibitor that is able to mediate control over CAR T cells and characterized its inhibition pattern and mode of action in vitro and in vivo.

    Research:  Motor behaviours are associated with dynamic synchronization of distributed neural networks, a mechanism for brain coordination. We study the role of altered neural networks dynamics in movement disorders by combining clinical, electrophysiological, biomechanical and molecular imaging findings.
