Fellowship Overviews

Secured funding for a doctorate is a decisive factor in the acceptance and successful completion of a doctorate. As there are very few academic doctoral positions available at chairs in the Humanities in particular, possible funding via a doctoral fellowship is of particular importance.

We support you in your efforts to obtain a doctoral fellowship with our fellowship overviews below, our semesterly information lecture "Der Stipendiengreifer" and individual application counselling.

In addition to your research on the Graduate School pages listed below

is particularly recommended. There you can also search for project and travel funds, awars, language courses, etc. and you will find numerous helpful tips on the doctorate.

Please note

  1. The selection in the respective fellowship overviews is - as far as possible - focussed on the needs of doctoral candidates at our Graduate School.
  2. Doctoral candidates of the Graduate School can obtain this - and much more extensive - information at our regular semesterly information event "Der Stipendiengreifer" (lecturer: Dr. Thomas Schmid, Managing Director). Please refer to our event information under "News".
