Below you will find an overview of all workshops offered by the GSLS. To make your planning easier we have sortet the workshops according to the stage of your PhD. Please note that this a recommendation and there is no deadline for e.g. attending early stage workshops.

Rules & Regulations

Registration for Workshops and Careers Talks

  • We register on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration of GSLS doctoral researchers has priority to non-GSLS participants.

 

Withdrawal from Workshops

Please cancel your registration in case you cannot attend a workshop that people on the waiting list have the opportunity to move up.

  • You can cancel your workshop registration up to 10 days prior to the workshop without giving a reason. Simply cancel your registration on the booking platform.

  • If you want to withdraw within 10 days prior to the workshop you can no longer cancel yourself and have to give reasons. If you are unable to attend for medical reasons, please provide us with a medical certificate. In case of research-related reasons you are required to hand in a notice in writing (e-mail) from your primary supervisor authorizing your absence.

  • If you repeatedly just don't show up, you will lose your priority for GSLS workshops.

Please keep in mind that courses are expensive and unexcused absence is very annoying for people on the waiting list.

 

Payment of Fees

  • GSLS/GSST doctoral researchers attend without any charge.
  • Non-GSLS/non-GSST participants pay a service and workshop fee of EUR 50 by bank transfer.
  • GSLS Careers Talks are generally free of charge.
