Admission to the doctoral qualifying examination
(for University of Applied Sciences/FH diploma and B.A. graduates)
Graduates with a diploma from a University of Applied Sciences or a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) can also do a doctorate at the Graduate School; the prerequisite for this is
- an application for admission to the Graduate School or to the doctoral aptitude exam, which is decided on by the Director;
- successfully passing the doctoral qualifying examination, which consists of
- an academic paper in the first semester and
- an oral examination in the second semester.
In the period leading up to passing this doctoral aptitude test, candidates are generally enrolled for up to two semesters as doctoral candidates with the final goal of passing the doctoral aptitude test.
