Prof. Dr. Andreas Hotho (Data Science Chair):
"Putting Data into Research: The role of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence".

Teaser: Digitalization affects many areas of our life, and it drives the development of our society. Research is no exception: In every area, from the humanities to the sciences, more and more data are collected, stored, and analyzed. Professor Andreas Hotho, founding spokesperson of JMU's new Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (CAIDAS), will discuss how to deal with this growing amount of data in intelligent ways, leading to an exponentially growing research field of its own. He will also illustrate how such approaches may fundamentally change the way we ask and answer research questions in the future."
