- Admission to the doctoral examination requires a current admission to the Graduate School. You can also take your doctoral examination at the Graduate School before your Supervisory Committee without being enroled; you only need to be admitted to the doctorate with us at the time of the oral exam.
- If you have completed your first six doctoral semesters in our Graduate School and your curriculum, enrolment is no longer mandatory.
- In this context, please note our information on the necessary and correctly completed coursework for examination registration.
- Important note on admission to the doctoral examination for Dr. theol.:
The Graduate School itself only awards the academic degree Dr. phil.; the academic degree Dr. theol. is only awarded by the Faculty of Catholic Theology, to which you should submit your application for admission to the doctoral examination; the Faculty's doctoral regulations apply. Once you have completed your curriculum in the doctoral programme, your achievements will be documented by the Graduate School as an supplement to your doctoral certificate awarded by the Faculty.
