Reduction of the curriculum/study achievements
Appropriate previous achievements can be credited towards the coursework in the doctoral study programme up to one third of the curriculum (= 6 SWS), in justified exceptional cases up to 8 SWS.
For this purpose, the doctoral candidate must provide written proof that
- intensive doctoral supervision has taken place, and
- subject-specific and interdisciplinary courses to be recognised as equivalent to degree courses were attended ,
such as:
- advanced/major seminars,
- doctoral colloquia,
- workshops for doctoral and professional qualifications etc.
Credit can be awarded for achievements completed at GSH between completion of the previous degree programme and commencement of the doctorate. Crediting to the curriculum is decided by the supervisory committee in consultation with the spokespersons of the class in which the doctoral candidate is doing his/her doctorate.
