    Registration and Abstract Submission

What is an abstract and how do I write one?

An abstract is a short summary (max. 2500 characters) intended to give other participants an overview of your research. Typically, you start with a brief general introduction to the topic, followed by your specific research question. You should describe your methods, your findings to date and your conclusions. Feel free to also add any open questions and next steps. Ask your more experienced colleagues and supervisors for advice and feedback, and you'll be fine!

Can I register now and submit my poster/talk abstract later?

Yes, you have time until September 3rd to hand in the abstract for your talk or poster.

Is there a disadvantage if I register late?

Yes, because it could happen that there are no more free slots if you register late. The availability of poster and oral presentations is limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

I missed the registration deadline, can I still register for EUREKA! 2025?

Please get in touch with the organizing committee (eureka.symposium@uni-wuerzburg.de).

    Poster

We work with two or three people on a project. Can we present a poster together?

No, unfortunately this is not possible. Every active participant must contribute a poster or talk.

Can I indicate a preference for the day of my poster session?

No, for organizational reasons we are unfortunately unable to take individual preferences into account when making the allocation.

Can you print my poster/Where can I print my poster?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a printing service for posters. Please bring your printed poster with you to the symposium (here  are our specifications). You can print posters either at the university's "Rechenzentrum" or at copy shops.

Do I need to provide a digital version of my poster?

No, we don't have a digital poster exhibition and therefore don't require your poster file. However, please send us your abstract by 3 September, as it will be published in the abstract book.
